BIO-112 Biology of Disease
Discipline:
Biology (BIO) This is a lecture/discussion course that may be delivered in a traditional classroom or over the internet. The course focuses on viral disease as a model for understanding other mechanisms in biology. Topics include basic virology, epidemiology, immunology, and molecular biology as they relate to viral disease and its spread in populations. Scientific reading and writing assignments required. Total of 45 hours of lecture. Prerequisite: Demonstrated computer/internet competency. Semesters offered: Spring, Summer. 3 Credits.
