GDT-112 Computer Graphics
Discipline:
Graphic Design Technology (GDT) This entry level hands-on graphics course is for aspiring designers, graphic artists, illustrators, web designers and anyone interested in creating well designed visual communications involving text and graphics. Using state of the art computers plus the latest software, students will produce a portfolio of original graphic design projects. Adobe Creative Suite consisting of Illustrator (vector based), Photoshop (bitmap) and InDesign (text formatting and layout) will be combined to create projects. Students will be introduced to the principles of graphic design, the design process and the field of graphic design. This is an entry level course. Students should be comfortable using a mouse and keyboard. Total of 45 hours of lecture. Course fee required. Prerequisite: IST 100 or consent of TCS Division. Semesters offered: Fall, Spring, Summer. 3 Credits.
