HUM-204 Religion in America
Discipline:
Humanities (HUM) An examination of the religious history of North America with a focus upon the United States is central to this course. The course identifies the basic tenets of belief in various faith traditions, and analyzes how the “religious landscape” of the United States has changed over time. Important social issues (such as the environment, racism, sexism, economic imperialism, and bioethics) that are a part of contemporary inter-religious dialogue are examined and discussed. Total of 45 hours of lecture. Semesters offered: Fall, Spring. 3 Credits.
