About the Sociology Program

The sociology program is intended for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete their bachelor’s degree in sociology. The program includes courses in a wide-range of topical areas, including race/ethnic relations, marriage and family relations, and social problems in the United States and abroad.

A bachelor’s degree in sociology can lead to exciting careers in broad and diverse areas including social/public services, public health, business, sales and marketing, law, criminal justice and various government agencies. A bachelor’s degree in sociology also provides an excellent foundation for graduate study in the social and behavioral sciences.
