Arts and Sciences
A.A. or A.S. Degree
The Associate degree in Arts and Sciences is designed for students
who plan to transfer to a four-year institution with a concentration
in either arts and humanities or math and science. Following admission
to the college, students should consult with an advisor to design
a program of study that meets their transfer needs. This program
is suited best to students who do not know what their precise major
will be after transfer.
Students who are more definite about what their major will be
after transfer should plan to earn an Arts and Sciences Associate
of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in one of many
discipline-specific options. Descriptions of the Arts and Sciences
degree options are listed alphabetically throughout the Programs
of Study section of this catalog.
