Arts and Sciences Option in Biology
A.S. Degree
The biology option is for students planning to transfer to a four-year
baccalaureate program as a biology major or in a pre-professional
area such as pre-medicine, pre-pharmacy, pre-veterinary medicine
or pre-dentistry. This program provides the general education and
foundation courses in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics
that are required during the first two years of most four-year programs.
Students should work with an academic transfer advisor and be aware
that science courses in this program are rigorous and have prerequisites.
The requirements of the intended transfer institutions must be considered
when selecting courses in this program.
