Computed Tomography Imaging
Certificate
Computed tomography (CT) is used to produce sectional images of
the human body. The computed tomography imaging program is designed
for practicing radiographers and students enrolled in the sophomore
year of the radiography program to pursue advanced imaging education.
Successful completion of program requirements will assist in fulfilling
the requirements for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists’
national certification examination in computed tomography. Students
enrolled in the computed tomography program are required to meet
the same academic, physical and technical standards as students
admitted to the radiography program. In addition, radiographers
must possess a current CPR card and, if applicable, possess a current
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and
appropriate state licensure.
