Delegate Scholarship
Award Amount:
Maryland Delegates to the House of Representatives are given
money to award to college students who live within their district.
The minimum annual award amount is $200.
How to apply:
If your delegates make their own awards, you should call or
write them for further instructions. Awards are made based on need
as demonstrated on the FAFSA. Complete and file the FAFSA.
To determine your legislative district you may:
- Go to the following web site www.mhec.state.md.us.
- Access the section For Students and Parents
- Click on Student Financial Aid – Sources of
Information
- Access the section titled Learn Your Legislative District
- Click on Find an Address on the upper left hand side
of the screen
- Enter all known information – Street Address, City, Zip
Code and County
- Click on FIND
- Information will process and you will see the district number
at the top of the page under the address you entered.

Eligibility Requirements:
You and your parents (if you are a dependent student) must be Maryland
residents. You must enroll at a two-year or four-year Maryland college
or university, as a full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate
or graduate student, or attend certain private career schools. |
