College for Kids offers virtual island vacation

HCC’s College for Kids summer program is offering children going into grades four and five the chance to take a week-long virtual vacation to the islands, explore the deep blue sea, and frolic with marine life during “Sand, Sea and Creatures, Oh My!”

Hagerstown Community College recently held its 15th annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Four former Hagerstown Junior College student athletes and two athletic boosters were honored as the 2007 inductees.

T’ai Chi offered at HCC

The beginner’s course teaches the art of t’ai chi as a holistic exercise that promotes health, improves balance, and enhances mind-body awareness. Participants will receive step-by-step instruction in an easy-to-learn primer form of less than 20 movements selected from the Yang and Wu styles of t’ai chi.

Beginning Chinese internal martial arts course offered

A new course teaching the foundational practices for two famous Chinese internal arts, hsing-i ch’uan and pa kua chang, which are both related to t’ai chi ch’uan, will be offered through HCC's Center for Continuing Education on Thursdays beginning June 14.
