Arabic language class offered at HCC

HCC is now offering a course titled “Elementary Arabic I” for students wishing to learn the fundamentals of Modern Standard Arabic. The course will also introduce some Egyptian dialect. Class starts Monday, January 14, 2008, and will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7:40 p.m.

Free Holiday Dinner at HCC

The Student Government Association at Hagerstown Community College invites the public to a free Christmas dinner mixed with holiday cheer on Friday, Dec. 7. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., and includes ham, potatoes, vegetable, roll, drink and dessert.

HCC Chorus to perform holiday concert

The Hagerstown Community College Chorus will perform holiday favorites during a free concert on Sunday, December 9, at 3 p.m. in Kepler Theater.

The Hagerstown Community College Robinwood Players will perform “Mrs. Bob Cratchet’s Wild Christmas Binge,” written by Christopher Durang, on Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. in Kepler Theater.

HCC is hosting an open house to share information about becoming a member of its nursing or radiography faculty on Wednesday, Nov. 14, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Athletic, Recreation Community Center (ARCC).

Seminar offered on restraint coding and team building for long term care providers

HCC's Center for Continuing Education will hold a seminar on restraint coding and team building for long term care providers on Tuesday, Nov. 13, beginning at 8 a.m., at HCC's Valley Mall Training Center. The seminar will be taught by Linda Taylor, RN, MSN, who is a nurse surveyor with the Office of Health Care Quality.
