National Radiologic Technology Week commemorates the discovery of x-rays by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on November 8, 1895 and celebrates the vital role that radiologic technologists play in the healthcare field.

HCC's Robinwood Players will perform, "A Midnight Dreary: An Evening with Poe" and "Night of the Living Dead," on Fri., Oct. 30 and Sat., Oct. 31. Show starts at 8 p.m. both nights. General admission $7. Free for HCC students, staff, and faculty. Tickets will be available at the door prior to each performance.

HCC sees increase in veterans thanks to new GI bill

Increase in veteran students

More U.S. veterans are using their GI benefits to return to school, and community colleges seem to be the institution of choice. At Hagerstown Community College, veteran enrollment is up 41 percent for the fall semester, from 80 in 2008 to 113 in 2009.
