Gettysburg Ghost Walk and Candlelight Tour

Gettysburg Ghost Walk

Join the Paranormal Club and the Science Club for a ghost walk and candlelight tour of Gettysburg, Pa. on Sat., Nov. 7. This tour is open to all students and students are allowed to bring one person with them who is not an HCC student or staff member.

Cost is $5 per person and participants must register in advance. Those attending will meet in the HCC Science Building, room 117, at 4 p.m., where pizza and drinks will be provided for everyone. Attendees will depart campus at 5:30 p.m., arriving in Gettysburg by 7 p.m.

HCC Internship Fair

HCC's first Internship Fair will be held on Wed., Nov. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in The Merle S. Elliott Continuing Education and Conference Center on the upper level of the Career Programs Building.

Discover the benefits of completing an internship and talk with prospective employers to learn about available internship opportunities. Open to all HCC students.

HCC's newest club, Students for Creative Anachronism, invites you to witness the pageantry and battle techniques of the Middle Ages during the club's first demonstration on Wed., Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., behind the Student Center.

Join the Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association for its annual Red Cross Gift Wrap on Sat., Dec. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown. All are welcome. Gifts will be wrapped in front of Bon Ton in the Valley Mall and donations will benefit the Red Cross.

  • 6:30 a.m. - Luxury Bus Departs HCC (Parking Lot K3)
  • 10:30 a.m. - Arrives New York City
  • 7 p.m. - Board Bus for Home
  • 11 p.m. - Return to HCC parking lot

Math Club Bake Sale

Math Club Bake Sale

The Math Club is hosting a bake sale on Mon., Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on the second floor of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) in front of the Library (LRC-244).

In addition to the bake sale, the Math Club will be selling raffle tickets for two prizes: a Halloween basket and a pumpkin cake. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. For more information or to see a photo of the prizes, e-mail Club Advisor Rebecca Kendrick at kendrickr@hagerstowncc.edu.

Service Club Humane Society Fundraiser

The Service Club is holding its annual "Penny War," from Mon., Nov. 2 through Fri., Nov. 6, to collect donation money for the Humane Society of Washington County. All proceeds and donations will go to the Humane Society.

Service Club Car and Truck Show Fundraiser

Car and Truck Show Fundraiser

The Service Club will hold a Car and Truck Show Fundraiser on Sat., Oct. 31, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., at the Lifehouse Bethel at 515 East Wilson Boulevard. HCC students arranged the show to benefit David Greeley, an eight-year-old boy who was seriously injured this summer when he was struck by a car.

General admission is $2 per family and $10 to enter a vehicle.
