HCC and Mount St. Mary’s sign articulation agreement

Officials at Hagerstown Community College and Mount St. Mary’s University recently signed an articulation agreement for students studying business administration. The agreement is designed to create a smoother transition for students who wish to start at HCC and transfer their academic credits to Mount St. Mary’s University to complete a bachelor’s degree in business.

Variety Show to raise money for local family

Hagerstown Community College’s Robinwood Players Theater Club will hold a Benefit Variety Show on Sat., March 6, beginning at 8 p.m. in HCC’s Kepler Theater.

The event will showcase past and present theater club members, as well as various HCC faculty and staff. All proceeds will benefit the Brewer family, who recently lost their home in a fire on Feb. 9. HCC student Chris Brewer is a member of the Robinwood Players Theater Club and his fellow club members wanted to show their support for his family by sponsoring this event.

Snow Day Make-Up Plan

The Maryland Secretary of Education has notified the College that the four days lost to the recent snow storms must be made up. The snow dates will be made up on the following dates: May 5; May 6; May 7; and May 10.

HCC expands non-credit language offerings

Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is now offering a variety of non-credit language courses geared towards those planning a trip to a foreign country, trying to brush up on older language skills, or improve language skills for the workplace.

Like music and helping animals? The two combine on Feb. 27, 2010 at the All the Good Things Concert to benefit the Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC). The concert is hosted by students in Professional Loretta Thornhill’s Legal Environment of Business Class at HCC. The concert is free, but a donation for the HSWC is required for entry.

Student Bake Sale
