Phi Beta Lambda will be having a brief general meeting on Tuesday, March 27, at 2:30 p.m. in CPB 210 with a guest speaker to follow at 3 p.m. Jim Pierne, former President and CEO of Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. will be discussing the financial crisis (from the banking perspective). Deadline to Order Cap and Gown for 2012 Graduation Ceremony

The deadline to order a cap and gown for graduating students attending the 2012 Commencement Ceremony is Sun., April 1.  Graduating students can order their cap and gown at www.balfourmd.com.

Student Rehearsal for 2012 Graduation Ceremony

Student rehearsal for the 2012 graduation ceremony will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the ARCC. At  the rehearsal, graduates will receive important information about the ceremony and those that are receiving diplomas will also receive a hood to be worn with their academic attire.

Graduates will also receive their name cards.  Please make sure you bring these cards with you on Saturday morning for the ceremony. All graduates participating in the ceremony are expected to attend rehearsal. For more information call 240-500-2526.

Hagerstown Community College recently received approval from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education to offer programs of study completely online.

Rock Out for Autism Awareness on March 23

HCC's SGA will hold a special concert, "Rock Out for Autism Awareness," on Fri., March 23, from 8 to 11 p.m., in the Student Center. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for local charities.

Disability Awareness Zone

HCC's Student Government Association will hold a special event, Disability Awareness Zone, on Wed., March 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Student Center. This event features speakers, information tables and activities that bring awareness to mental, physical, and emotional disabilities. The Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), the ARC of Washington County, and the Special Olympics will have information tables set up at the event.
