HCC students and employees are invited to bring their families to the annual HCC Holiday Dinner and Carols with Mark Rust on Friday, Dec. 7, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Student Center. This evening is filled with your family's favorite carols from around the world, led by professional musican Mark Rust. Due to limited seating, advanced reservations are necessary.

HCC releases annual holiday card

HCC recently released its annual electronic holiday card. The card was designed by Jeremy Prince, a simulation and digital entertainment student at HCC. This is the third year that HCC has used a paper-free card.

Winter Break held Dec. 21 - Jan. 1

Winter Break will be held from Dec. 21 through Jan. 1, 2013. HCC will close at 12 noon on Fri., Dec. 21 and remain closed through Tues., Jan. 1. The college will reopen Wed., Jan. 2.

An Afternoon of Song & Dance held Dec. 8

HCC will present “An Afternoon of Song and Dance,” on Sat., Dec. 8, at 2 p.m., in the Kepler Theater. This event will feature students in the dance and music programs at HCC. Free and open to the public.

Noises Off on stage Nov. 30 - Dec. 2

HCC’s Robinwood Players will perform Michael Frayn’s “Noises Off,” from Fri., Nov. 30 through Sun., Dec. 2, in the Kepler Theater. General admission is $10, but HCC students, staff, and faculty can attend for free.

An Afternoon of Song & Dance

The English & Humanities Division at Hagerstown Community College will present “An Afternoon of Song and Dance,” on Sat., Dec. 8, at 2 p.m., in the Kepler Theater.

The event will feature more than 30 students in the dance and music programs at HCC. Dance students will be performing jazz, ballet, musical theater, and contemporary dances, and vocal students will be performing a variety of opera and musical theater numbers. The HCC Chorus will also perform.

The HCC Humanitarian Club hosts a viewing of the movie, "Homeless To Harvard," on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Hilltop Grill. PTK Math Workshop

PTK Math Workshop

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is offering a math workshop for Math 098-, 099-, and 100-level students on Fri., Nov. 30, from 3 to 5 p.m., in the Career Programs Building, rooms 211 and 213.

The workshop will help students develop their skills with adding and subtracting fractions to become proficient in math, while participating in a single-blind study. Participants will be entered to win a drawing for a $50 gas card.
