| Brian Eichelberger brings 20 years of soccer playing experience
at various levels. He is a 2000 graduate of Smithsburg High School
where he played varsity soccer all four years earning 1st team all
county and 1st team all area 3 years in a row. During high school
Brian played for the Frederick Excel Soccer Club in the National Capital
Beltway League. During his 5 years on the club he was leading scorer
each year. Coming out of high school he was recruited by several schools
but chose to play for the Hagerstown Community College Hawks and coach
Glen Singer and along with current assistant coach Frank Sutak. At
HagerstownCC he achieved 1st team all MDJUCO and 1st team all region
XX both freshman and sophomore years. Brian led the team in scoring
both years at HCC. During his freshman year he broke the school record
for a freshman for goals scored (17) and total combined points (41).
Brian graduated from HCC in 2002 with a degree in health, physical
education, and leisure studies. Upon graduating from HCC Brian was
recruited to continue his soccer playing for the Shepherd University
Rams. He graduated from Shepherd in 2005 with a degree in Psychology
and a minor in Sport and Recreation. In March of 2006, Brian came
back to HCC as the assistant men’s soccer coach and after tough
2006 year he was promoted to head men’s soccer coach. He brings
hard work and enthusiasm to the program and is looking to find the
best players to turn the program around and in the winning direction.
“One of my main goals is to change the face of the program and
the reputation of this program. I want Hagerstown Community College
to be at the top of high school seniors lists. This is a competitive
league and I want to go out and compete with the big names of the
MD-JUCO and solidify our school as one of the premier programs in
Region XX.” |
