Beth Domenico enters her 8th year as Head of the Women's volleyball team with an overall record of 176-54 and a MDJUCO conference record of 117-19. She now has been to the national tournament the last five years and is coming off her best finish of her career finishing 7th in the nation. She received northeast southeast coach of the year and posted a 46-4 total record last year. They have won the region tournament the last five years in a row and have been MDJUCO champs the last four out of five years falling to Howard in 2006 in a five game shoot-out. Beth is a graduate of Smithsburg High School where she played volleyball for Coach Cindy Young. Beth then attended Hagerstown Junior College where she competed for the Lady Hawks volleyball team in 1992 and 1993, leading her team to the national tournament in 1992.
Beth graduated from HJC in 1994 with an AA in general studies, and transferred to the University of North Carolina, Pembroke (on a volleyball scholarship) for two seasons. She then served as an assistant coach for two more seasons. Beth graduated from Pembroke with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Together and by her side as assistant coaches are James Domenico who has been with her since the beginning of her coaching career and Ty Hart who was an assistant at Shepherd University and brings with him a lot of playing experience (AVP Qualifier) and coaching experience and together they are working on the ultimate goal of bringing home a national title to Hagerstown Community College." Beth and James reside in Smithsburg MD with their daughters Morgan and Megan and Ty resides in Hedgesville WV. |
