Biotechnology Summer Teachers Institute Application

Complete the following application form and essays and submit to Hagerstown Community College Science Division by June 3, 2013. Eligible applicants are secondary science and K-5 elementary teachers. This year, twenty applicants from each category will be accepted.

  • Essay question 1:How do you plan to integrate the information you learn in the Biotechnology Summer Workshop into your classroom? What are you looking forward to learning about most during the Institute?
  • Essay question 2: Microscopy is a tool in the field of biotechnology. What type background/basic understanding of microscopy would you advise your high school students to prepare them for a career in biotechnology?
