The Honors Convocation is a ceremony to publicly recognize and celebrate the leadership and academic excellence that students have demonstrated during the past year. The ceremony will be held on Thurs., May 13, in the ARCC, beginning at 7 p.m.

     *    Invitations were mailed to students on the dean’s list in 2009 and those inducted in Phi Theta Kappa in fall 2009 and spring 2010 as well as 2009-2010 graduates earning honors, high honors, and receiving special awards

9th Annual Turkey Trot held at HCC

HCC's annual Turkey Trot fundraiser will be held on Thanksgiving Day. Race starts at 9 a.m. Non-perishable items will be donated to Community Food Bank Warehouse.

Dig Pink 2009

Dig Pink is the Breast Cancer awareness rally being held during all of October 2009. A large statement is going to be made by holding hundreds, potentially thousands, of featured high school and college matches across the country to help educate and raise funds to eradicate this terrible disease. Proceeds will be distributed among research teams focused on target therapies and molecular profiling, as well as "living with cancer" organizations worldwide.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be on campus on Thurs., Sept. 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the ARCC lobby. College Fair held Oct. 14

Wash. Co. College Fair

The 2009 Washington County College Fair will be held on Wednesday, October 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Athletic, Recreation and Community Center at Hagerstown Community College.

Representatives from more than 100 colleges, universities, and technical schools in the Mid-Atlantic region will be on-hand to meet with prospective students.
     
The fair is sponsored by Washington County Public Schools and HCC. Admission is free. For more information, contact HCC at 301-790-2800, ext. 412.
