Construction Core Trades Part 2

Prepare for apprenticeship or employment in the skilled trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry. This course completes the core apprenticeship curriculum of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), which must be completed before other NCCER courses can be attempted. Topics include basic safety, introduction to construction math, introduction to hand tools, and introduction to power tools. Prerequisite: Part 1 required to complete. Motorcycle Repair

You can master the fundamental concepts and skills to keep a motorcycle running smoothly. Setup your own motorcycle garage with the right tools to perform basic inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Hands-on lab projects will include tune-ups, fastener servicing, fuel systems, basic electronics, batteries and charging systems, and engine condition diagnosing without teardown. Information also relates to servicing ATV's and scooters. (Textbook required)

Forklift Operator Training

Pick, travel, and place loads with confidence after completing this hands-on class for forklift operators. Walk through procedures for forklift inspection, maintaining lift stability and tip-over prevention, loading and unloading racks, and identifying forklift types and operations. Classroom and practical training meet the requirements of OSHA 1910.178(l). Safety shoes or work boots required. (Textbook included)

Small Engine Repair

Whether for fun or profit, you can service small engines found in lawn equipment, motorboats, snow blowers, or garden equipment. Hands-on shop activities and expert instruction will introduce you to the principles of two-cycle and four-cycle engine operation, fuel and exhaust systems, ignition components, lubrication systems, and cooling systems. A list of tools needed will be distributed at the first class and appropriate safety clothing is required for shop activities. (Textbook required)

Diesel Technician Program Part 1

Develop the entry level skills required to start a career in diesel repair and maintenance. This 200-hour program will provide necessary training and fundamentals to start an entry level diesel technician position. The program is delivered through an intensive hands-on lab approach with part one covering: workplace safety, truck components, tool and equipment fundamentals, electrical and electronic systems, and hydraulics/clutches and transmissions. Diesel Technician Program Part 2

Become proficient in preventative maintenance and inspections for heavy duty vehicles through hands-on shop activities in the second half of the Diesel Technician Program. Topics in part two include: brakes, heating ventilation and air conditioning, exhaust aftertreatment systems, preventative maintenance and inspection, employment preparation, and ASE G1 application.
