Continuous Quality Improvement Training: Using the Program Administration Scale (PAS)
This training will help you to be prepared for the new child care quality rating system that was implemented in 2010.  It is designed for center directors responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating early care and education programs.  The PAS is a research-validated child care center management assessment tool designed to reliably measure center-based leadership and management practices that focus on administrative issues.  The training and follow-up technical assistance will enable the director to achieve and measure improvement in administrative operations, as well as improve the skills of key management personnel.
The two-day training includes using the PAS assessment tool, developing improvement plans, and managing change.  This training will enable directors to implement continuous quality improvement programs and is a key component in Maryland’s efforts to create high quality early learning environments for young children and provide management tools to center directors.  Pre-approval is required.
