Cybersecurity Summer Institute 2013 for Students (CSI-2013)
Are you a High School student considering a career in Technology? Come join us and be part of CSI-2013 at HCC from June 11th through August 1st. Every Tuesday through Thursday for eight weeks explore the exciting world of Digital Forensics including topics such as: steganography, networking, data recovery, preservation of evidence, and encryption through classroom lectures, labs, and field trips. Earn three college credits in just those eight weeks and, be on your way to completing an Associate’s degree in Cybersecurity @ HCC. Follow the instructions below to apply and begin your college career now!
- Complete the application.
- Submit two recommendation letters from teachers or administrators at your high school.
- The application deadline is March 15, 2013.
All High School students have the opportunity to take advantage of the HCC ESSENCE Program. This program offers High School Students in Washington County a 50% discount and those out of county or out of state a 25% discount on HCC Tuition for up to 12 credits.
Cybersecurity Teacher Institute 2013 (CTI-2013)
This summer technology teachers in Washington County will have the opportunity increase their understanding of Cybersecurity. Through the Cybersecurity Teacher Institute you will explore cloud computing, cyber terrorism, social networking Web sites, and infringement of intellectual property, security risks, identity theft, employee surveillance, privacy, compliance, and ethics of IT corporations. Come join us and be part of CTI-2013 at HCC from July 16th through the 19th. Teachers attending will receive a stipend for their participation. Complete the CTI-2013 application and email it to David Mathers at firstname.lastname@example.org by April 30th, 2013.
