HCC awards 686 degrees and certificates in graduation ceremony

Hagerstown Community College held its 69th annual commencement on Saturday, May 14, in the Athletic, Recreation, and Community Center at HCC. HCC President Guy Altieri and members of the board of trustees awarded 686 degrees and certificates to the 2016 graduating class, before a crowd of more than 2,000 people. The HCC dean of students reports that 424 students received associate degrees in the transfer curricula, designed for students planning to continue their education at a four-year institution. 

Reminders for 2016 Commencement Ceremony

HCC will hold its 69th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 9:30 a.m., in the Athletic, Recreation and Community Center (ARCC). Students who are participating in this year's ceremony are expected to attend a Commencement Rehearsal on Friday, May 13, at 5:45 p.m., in the ARCC. Afterwards, students are invited to attend a Graduation Party at 7 p.m., in the ARCC lobby. Caps and gowns are available for pick up in the Campus Store or at the Commencement Rehearsal. 

Hispanic Association of Hagerstown Scholarship Application

The Hispanic Association of Hagerstown is proud to offer scholarships for credit courses at Hagerstown Community College. The Association raised these funds through the Annual Hispanic Festival of Hagerstown.

Make sure to answer every question asked, as several factors will be considered in picking recipients. Application due date is Friday, March 18, 2015. This scholarship is not renewable, but applicants are welcome to reapply for each semester in which they wish to attend HCC.
