The Food Service Department consists of the Valley Eatery, the Hilltop Grill, and Food for Thought catering service. All food service locations are open to students, faculty, staff and the general public. The manager’s office is located in the Career Programs Building, room 205. Suggestions and comments are always welcome. Valley Eatery The Valley Eatery is located on the upper level of the Career Programs Building (CPB) next to The Merle S. Elliott Continuing Education and Conference Center (Elliott Center). The facility features a full-service deli, hot grill, pizza bar, entrée station, self-serve salad bar, and fixins’ bar to compliment sandwiches purchased on-site. From a quick snack to a full meal, the Valley Eatery is certain to satisfy. Carry-out or dine-in. Seating is available both indoors and outside (weather permitting). View the Valley Eatery menu. Hilltop Grill The Hilltop Grill is housed at the Student Center next to the Campus Store and is well known for its wonderful waffle fries and wraps. The Grill is able to seat 100 people. Outdoor patio seating is also avaiable year-round. The Grill serves breakfast and lunch items such as made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, waffle fries, soups, and other grab-and-go entrees and desserts. Fall/Spring Semester Hours Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Friday: Closed Summer Semester Hours: Closed Grub Bucks Parents and students can purchase "Grub Bucks" through the Campus Store, located in the Student Center, or through the Finance Office, located in the Administration and Student Affairs (ASA) Building. Grub Bucks are money vouchers that can be used instead of cash at the Valley Eatery or the Hilltop Grill. Special: Pay $50 for $55 worth of Grub Bucks Gift Certificates Gift Certificates can be purchased at the Valley Eatery in increments of $5, $10, or $20 amounts, which may be used at the Valley Eatery and Hilltop Grill locations only. Gift certificates can be used until the entire gift amount is used or by expiration date indicated on certificate. If a certificate is lost or stolen, it is not the responsibility of HCC Food Service Department or its staff to replace it. Vending Machines Snack and cold vending machines on campus are overseen by the HCC Food Service Department. Vending machines are conveniently located in most buildings. If you encounter problems with a machine, please notify Food Service staff in the Hilltop Grill located in the Student Center or the Valley Eatery in the Careers Programs Building. All Pepsi and Coke machines are stocked by the vendor, but managed by the Food Service Department. Please notify Food Service should you encounter any issues with these machines. Food for Thought Catering Food for Thought, HCC’s in-house catering service, services special events for internal and external groups using campus facilities. Food for Thought offers everything from coffee service to boxed lunches to fully catered buffets. All requests for catering service must be made at least 14 business days prior to an event. Food for Thought must be consulted and given the right of first refusal, before an outside caterer may be used. Courtside Cafe The Courtside Café is located in the ARCC lobby and is run by The Al Sheaffer ARCC Volunteer Corps. All proceeds earned from the Courtside Café concession stand operation benefit scholarships for student athletes. The Courtside Cafe also assists with other college projects, as needed. Courtside Café offers sandwiches and light fare items and is only open for athletic events.
