HCC is offering a hybrid Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate (EMT-I) to Paramedic Bridge Certificate this fall. The program will allow each student to become a National Registry-Certified Paramedic in two semesters while completing 90 percent of course work online. Classes begin on August 28.
Students in the Radiography Program at Hagerstown Community College have achieved a 100 percent pass rate on their certification exams. All HCC students in the 2018 radiography cohort passed the national certification exams for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The 2018 graduates of the health sciences division at Hagerstown Community College were honored at a pinning ceremony on May 12. Dental assisting, dental hygiene, medical assisting, paramedic, pharmacy technician, and radiography were among the program areas included in this year’s ceremony.
Hagerstown Community College is offering an accelerated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course this summer. The course will allow each student to become a National Registry-Certified EMT in 15 weeks. Classes begin on May 8 and are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It’s Hygienic! is an annual event designed to prepare senior dental hygiene students to take the National Dental Hygiene Board Exam. The event includes a wellness fair and a board review competition. This fun, free event allows dental hygiene students to meet their peers and prepare for a major exam that they all must pass before beginning their careers at dental hygienists.
