IT Services Winter Break Help Desk Hours The student help desk will be closed from December 23, 2014 until 8:00 a.m. on January 5, 2015. If you leave a message for a return call, please leave your name, phone number, and your ID number along with the program name you need assistance with. HCC maintains more than 1000 computers on campus; state-of-the-art computer labs; and over 100 smart classrooms equipped with computers, data projection; as well as VHS, DVD and CD for audio. In addition, the College is home to some of the latest equipment for use in skills labs for the health sciences programs, including imaging technology. The Technology Planning Council meets regularly to review, plan, and assess the College's use and future needs in technology. Comprised of broad representation from within the College, the council is particularly concerned with how HCC can effectively apply technology to the success of teaching and learning programs and services, as well as the administration and management of the College. Faculty/Staff Help Desk HCC staff are available to assist staff and faculty with problems related to email accounts, Moodle, and WebAdvisor six days a week. Student Email Accounts

Student Email Log-in Note: Your username is your entire email address (e.g., userID@student.hagerstowncc.edu) For password assistance, please contact the IT Help Desk. Recent Upgrades Live@edu account is now a personal Microsoft account. It allows access to OneDrive, Messenger, and other Microsoft services. Use the same username and password to access this account that was used to access Live@edu. If you did not use the OneDrive, you probably will not need to log-in to this account. Please note that HCC no longer administers this account. As a result, HCC can't reset your password. To reset your OneDrive password for your personal account, go to https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx. Sign into OneDrive (https://onedrive.live.com) using your existing Live@edu username and password. If you use Internet Explorer 7 or earlier, you will need to upgrade to a newer version of Internet Explorer. If you use Microsoft Outlook to read your email and use Microsoft Office 2003 or earlier, you will need to upgrade to Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 to continue using Outlook. You can create PowerPoint, Excel, Word, or OneNote documents from the create menu in your OneDrive account or through this page https://studenthagerstowncc.sharepoint.com (use your student email credentials). 

HCC student wins ITA Computer Scholarship

HCC Information Technology Association 2008- 2009 Computer Scholarship Recipient Brittany Doane was this year's winner of the ITA Computer Scholarship. Doane submitted her application and essay along with other IST/SDE/WEB students. Essays were reviewed and the winner selected by the IST/ConEd Advisory Committee in May 2009. Doane was then awarded a computer system which she helped to build.
