“Tribal Gaming Strategies toward a Sustainable Future” presented by Dr. Janie Hall

Dr. Janie Hall will make a presentation on her dissertation topic, “Tribal Gaming Strategies toward a Sustainable Future,” on Monday, July 11 at 11 a.m. in BSH 104. All HCC students are invited to attend. Refreshments will be available and participants are welcome to bring their lunch.

Free showing of Zootopia at HCC

Hagerstown Community College’s Student Government Association will host a free showing of Disney’s action film, “Zootopia,” on Friday, June 10, and Saturday, June 11, in the Student Center on HCC’s main campus. Show times are 6 p.m. on June 10 and 2 p.m. on June 11. This event is free and is open to the public and tickets are not required. 

Family Movie Night

Family Movie Night, featuring Disney’s “Zootopia,” will be held Friday, June 10, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 11, at 2 p.m. in the Student Center Main Dining Area. Admission is free and open to the public. Concessions will be sold by Robinwood Players Theater Club. Be sure to dress up as or bring your favorite stuffed zoo animal!

Tabletop, Video Game & Cards Club

The goal of the Tabletop, Video Game and Cards Club (TVGC) is to bring students together through the love of playing games, from trading card games to electronic games (console and PC), offering freshmen and sophomores the opportunity to learn and enjoy playing these games while creating ties with fellow students outside the classroom.

Family Paint Party

A Family Paint Party will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 11 a.m., in the Student Center Main Dining Hall.

HCC Political Science Club to host anti-human trafficking event

Hagerstown Community College’s Political Science Club will host an anti-human trafficking event on Thursday, March 17, at 3 p.m., in the Behavioral Sciences and Humanities Building, room 102. Guest speakers from local interest group, Stop Trafficking Our People (STOP), and the League of Women Voters will join HCC’s Political Science Club to help spread awareness about human trafficking in Washington County. 

Gymkana Troupe to perform at HCC on March 4

Hagerstown Community College will host the University of Maryland Gymkana Troupe on Friday, March 4, beginning at 7 p.m., in the college’s Athletic, Recreation and Community Center (ARCC). Well-known for its high energy performances, Gymkana Troupe performs both men’s and women’s gymnastic apparatus routines, as well as novelty circus acts that incorporate the use of chairs, ladders, and trampolines.
