Free showing of Despicable Me
December 2, 2010 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm

“Despicable Me,” starring the voice talents of Steve Carell, Jason Segal, Russell Brand, and Julie Andrews, will be shown at 7 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 2 and Fri., Dec. 3, and again at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 4. All shows will be held in the Student Center on HCC’s main campus. Children and adults are encouraged to wear their pajamas and bring pillows and blankets to watch the movie.

The SGA and S.O.L.O. is sponsoring a free showing of Toy Story on Fri., Nov. 5, at 6 p.m., in the Classroom Building Auditorium (CLR-111). Admission is free for everyone and this event is open to students and the public.

Free Showing of Helvetica Film

On Thurs., Sept. 23, there will be a free showing of "Helvetica," an independent film about typography, graphic design, and global visual culture. On Tues., April 20, the Science Club will show the award-winning documentary "Addicted to Plastic: The Rise and Demise of a Modern Miracle," beginning at 2:30 p.m., in the Science Building, room 117. Created by Ian Connacher, this documentary addresses the issues of excessive plastic pollution.

Hagerstown Community College’s Student Government Association will host a free showing for “New Moon,” the second installment of Stephanie Meyer’s acclaimed “Twilight” saga starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. The show will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Student Center.
