Business Club Trip to Annapolis

Students and HCC employees are invited to join HCC’s Business Club for a day trip to Annapolis on Friday, April 24. The bus will leave HCC at 7 a.m. and arrive at the Maryland Chamber of Commerce for a 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. meeting with top lobbyists in Annapolis from the Maryland Bankers Association, the Retailers Association, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Smithsonian Trip

HCC is sponsoring a bus trip to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC on Saturday, May 2. This trip is open to HCC students and employees. The bus leaves HCC at 9 a.m. and returns at 5 p.m.

Trip to Baltimore Inner Harbor

HCC is sponsoring a bus trip to the Baltimore Inner Harbor on Saturday, April 25. This trip is open to HCC students and employees. The bus leaves HCC at 9 a.m. and returns at 5 p.m. This trip includes free admission to Maryland African American History and Cultural Museum. A $10 reservation fee will be returned the day of the trip.

Antietam Battlefield Tour

Retired Professor Tom Clemens will lead a special tour of the Antietam Battlefield on Saturday, April 18. This trip is open to HCC students, employees & guests. The Bus leaves at 9 a.m. and will return to campus by 2 p.m. This trip is free and lunch will be provided.

Middle States Student Forum

A student forum, open to all currently registered HCC students, will be held Tuesday morning, April 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the BSH Auditorium (Room 114). This is a prime opportunity to hear from the Middle States team and answer any questions they may have about the student experience at HCC.

Annual Garden Pride Day

In recognition of the Annual Garden Pride activities, the College President has approved time away from normal work activity so that HCC staff/faculty may volunteer several hours on Earth Day, instead of working their normal assignments (supervisor approval is required).

Cybersecurity Panel

Come meet local IT professionals at the Cybersecurity Panel in STEM-109. Kyle Stutzman from Ongoing Operations and Richard Lutz from First Data will discuss training requirements, industry trends and more. Students may attend either the 9:15 a.m. panel or the 10 a.m. panel, and light refreshments will be served at 9:45 am.

Public Safety Awards

Hagerstown Community College will host the annual Public Safety Awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 26, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the Kepler Center on HCC’s main campus.

The Public Safety Awards recognize officers who have served the citizens of Washington County in an exemplary manner during the past year. The public is invited to attend this event. Light refreshments will be served.
