Hagerstown Community College will host the annual Public Safety Awards ceremony on Wed., May 8, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the Kepler Center on HCC’s main campus.

The Public Safety Awards recognize officers who have served the citizens of Washington County in an exemplary manner during the past year. The public is invited to attend this event. Light refreshments will be served.

Hagerstown Community College will hold its annual spring student art exhibit from Mon., April 29 through Fri., May 3, in the Kepler Center at HCC.

The spring student art exhibit will feature a variety of artwork including painting, drawing, mixed media sculpture, ceramic sculpture, pottery, digital photography, and graphic design prints. To be eligible to enter the show, students must be currently enrolled in one of HCC’s art courses and must also have a coherent body of work to present.

Hagerstown Community College will hold its annual faculty art show from Mon., April 8 through Tues., April 23, in the HCC Kepler Center.

This year’s show will feature more than 10 faculty artists exhibiting a host of work that includes ceramics, painting, jewelry, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture.

Student Casting Call

Student Casting Call

The HCC Public Information Office will hold its annual Casting Call for student models from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Center. Students of all ages are encouraged to stop by.

Students will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire and will have a photo taken on the day of the Casting Call. Students will then be contacted at a later date to take part in an HCC photoshoot. Images of students are used on promotional materials like class course guides, in advertisements, and on the HCC website. Any current student is welcome to take part.
