The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Diversity Celebration will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Kepler Center. This event will feature speeches and performances by a number of community organizations. Free and open to the public.

Hagerstown Community College will hold a winter student art exhibit from Fri., Dec. 7 through Fri., Dec. 14, in the Kepler Center.

The HCC Alternative Energy Club will be hosting a Green Networking Event on Wed., Dec. 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Elliott Center (upper level, Career Programs Building). Several regional employers in alternative energy and industrial technology will be on site to meet with students and  alumni and discuss employment and internship opportunities.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is offering a math workshop for Math 098-, 099-, and 100-level students on Fri., Nov. 30, from 3 to 5 p.m., in the Career Programs Building, rooms 211 and 213.

The workshop will help students develop their skills with adding and subtracting fractions to become proficient in math, while participating in a single-blind study. Participants will be entered to win a drawing for a $50 gas card.

HCC will host the monthly “Business After Hours” mixer from on Thurs., Nov. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Elliott Center. Credit and non-credit business programs will be featured. Refreshments will be served.

Students in the Math Club at Hagerstown Community College are sponsoring a live-stream viewing of the NASA Gerald Soffen Lecture Series on Wed., Nov. 14, at 7 p.m., in the Student Center. This event is free and is open to the public.
