Student Advocacy Day in Annapolis

The Student Advocacy Day in Annapolis will be held on Tuesday, March 5 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Attend a rally with other Maryland community colleges, tour the State House, and meet local Washington County representatives in Annapolis. The event is free and includes transportation and lunch.

Gymkana: Gymnastics Troupe Performance

The Gymkana gymnastics troupe will perform its annual show on Friday, March 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Athletic, Recreation and Community Center (ARCC) building. Admission is free and open to the public.

Valentine's Day Party

The Valentine's Day Party will be held on Thursday, February 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Student Center. The party will include a chocolate fountain, Laughing Hat photo booth, and a cutest couple contest.

Chinese New Year Celebration

The Chinese New Year celebration will be held on Tuesday, February 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Student Center. The Hilltop Grill will be serving Chinese cuisine on the hot bar, and the first 15 students will be able to eat for free in the main dining room with the SGA and International Club.

Whitetail Snow Tubing

The Whitetail Snow Tubing event will take place on Wednesday, January 30 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.. Transportation to and from HCC will be offerred. $10 is due at the time of the reservation (in the Student Activities Office, Student Center room 163), and $5 will be returned the night of the event.

The ClubCon Club Fair will be held on Tuesday, January 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center. Club reps will be set up in the Student Center, snacks and prizes for best cosplay will be available..

NARCAN Training

In an effort to provide education on how to recognize, respond to, and prevent an opioid overdose, the Washington County Health Department will be hosting monthly Narcan trainings in the Student Center (STC), Room 182. If you are concerned that a loved one is at risk for overdosing on heroin or a prescription pain medication, this training is for you. No RSVP or registration is necessary.

Business Club TIC Visit

The HCC Business Club will visit the Technical Innovation Center on Tuesday, March 19 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the TIC conference room. Current small business operators in the TIC will be part of a panel discussion led by Janice Riley, Manager of the TIC, discussing the issues that they have faced in starting a small business from an idea.

Business Club Presentation: Small Businesses

The HCC Business Club will hold a presentation on Tuesday, February 19 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Student Center room 142 (STC-142). The presentation will feature a guest speaker, Paul Cunningham, CPA and Manager with Albright, Crumbacher, Moul and Itell who will be focusing on important information for small businesses.
