HCC Foundation Scholarship Application

The HCC Foundation, Inc. Scholarship application only includes information that is not available through the applicant’s HCC Financial Aid record. The applicant must be accepted for admission to the college and have a student ID number before consideration will be given for scholarship assistance. All applications must be completed online for submission to the Foundation office. Applicants must have completed their 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Scholarships are only available for students taking at least six credits with a 2.0 GPA or higher. The applicant must be registered for classes by the application deadline date for scholarship consideration. The HCC Scholarship application must be complete, all blanks must be filled in and incomplete applications will be rejected. Students cannot receive financial aid at two schools during the same semester. It is the policy of the Hagerstown Community College Foundation to award scholarships based on the requirements of each individual scholarship as determined by the donor. If you decide not to attend Hagerstown Community College, or should you receive any additional monies which cover all or part of your educational expenses at any time, you are required to notify the Student Financial Aid Office at once.

The application deadline for the 2017-2018 Academic Year is Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.

Scholarship Requirements and Conditions

Acceptance of an HCC Foundation Scholarship is conditional based on the following requirements:

  • Recipients must volunteer for at least one of the Foundation/Alumni events, which are fundraisers for scholarships and alumni projects.
  • Recipients are required to attend the annual reception recognizing scholarship donors and their recipients, to be held in the Fall of the current academic year.

Non-compliance of scholarship conditions may result in the loss of your scholarship.
