A native of Washington County, Mr. Abraham holds an MBA with a concentration in public management from Hood College, a Bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Baltimore, an Associate’s degree in management from Hagerstown Community College, and a certificate degree in piano technology from Western Iowa Tech.

Mr. Abraham is retired from local government service, having served 10 years as director of management services for Frederick County, Maryland, and 17 years in finance, human resources and administrative positions with the City of Hagerstown.

Active in the community, Mr. Abraham is currently chair of the Boonsboro/Keedysville Water Advisory Board. He served as chair of the Maryland Theatre Performing Arts Center construction committee, is a past vice-president of the Maryland Theatre board of directors, past president of the Washington County Community Action Council, and a past member of the International City/County Management Association.

Mr. Abraham was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2008 and is currently immediate past chairperson of the Board and vice-chairperson of the audit committee.
