Austin S. Abraham

A native of Washington County, Mr. Abraham holds an MBA with a concentration in public management from Hood College, a Bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Baltimore, an Associate’s degree in management from Hagerstown Community College, and a certificate degree in piano technology from Western Iowa Tech.

Mr. Abraham is retired from local government service, having worked 10 years as Director of Management Services for Frederick County, Maryland. Prior to that, he worked in various finance, human resources and administrative positions with the City of Hagerstown.

Active in the community, Mr. Abraham, has served as chair of the Boonsboro/Keedysville Water Advisory Board for the past 17 years, is a member of the Maryland Theatre Board of Directors and is a member of the Diakon Advisory Council for the Ravenwood and Robinwood retirement communities. He is a past president of the Washington County Community Action Council and a past member of the International City/County Management Association.

Mr. Abraham was appointed to the Hagerstown Community College Board of Trustees on July 1, 2008 and is currently serving his second year as Vice-Chair.
