Medical Assisting Program Lab Assistant #13-003

The Medical Assisting Program Lab Assistant position is responsible for supporting the medical assisting program skills laboratories in conjunction with program faculty, which includes the use of simulation and other technologies that assist students in meeting program outcomes.

This is a part-time, temporary position based on the needs of the program each semester.

Qualifications: 
Education and experience - Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant or Registered/Practical Nursing License preferred. Previous experience working in a physician practice preferred. Experience teaching Medical Assisting courses preferred. Skills and abilities - Excellent organization and management skills. Ability to work with clinical simulation and clinical technology. Knowledge of diagnostic and patient care supplies and equipment. A knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to establish good working relationships with staff, students, and the community is essential. Ability to organize and prioritize work, make decisions independently, and attend to details.
