This full-time, tenure track faculty position is responsible for teaching the College's Dental curricula. The faculty member will also procure materials and instructional resources, identify and work with adjunct faculty, and be responsible for the ongoing development, evaluation, and revision of the Dental curricula.

Education and experience - Graduate of an accredited dental or dental hygiene school through the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). The faculty member must have a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred. The faculty member must be licensed or eligible for licensure from the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners. Two or more years of work experience in a clinical practice as a dental hygienist is required. Courses in teaching methodology, evaluation and assessment required, concept kowledge relative to subjects teaching, with knowledge of clinical instruction and evaluation methods. Membership in national and state dental hygiene associations as well as active participation and encouragement of participation in the student chapter of the American Dental Hygienist Association.
Skills and abilities - Strong organizational and writing skills, attention to detail, and excellent advising/counseling skills. Dental software experience required. Computer literate. Effective oral and written communication skills, student centered-approach, and an ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, staff, faculty and patients. CPR/BLS for the Healthcare provider current certification required.
