Although most nurses own a stethoscope few know the full scope of capabilities of the stethoscope.  This session goes beyond listening to the typical sounds and will teach participants what would be heard if a patient had pneumonia, congestive heart failure, a fracture or dislocation, pulmonary embolism, ARDS or a bowel obstruction.  Participants will also learn how to determine liver size and more.  Hands-on - participants should bring their own stethoscope to practice and learn how to perform a thorough and accurate assessment of heart, breath and abdominal sounds.

This course will provide an overview of the biomechanics of the fool and ankle, muscle control, and gait analysis and identify common and uncommon foot/ankle problems.  Current and advanced assessment, treatment and therapies will be presented for the management of injuries, neurological problems, pathomechanical and orthotic conditions and other abnormal orthopaedic conditions. Topics include:
