Earth Day Celebration

Earth Day Celebration

HCC will hold its third annual Earth Day Celebration at the fountain in front of the Career Programs Building on Fri., April 22. The presentation will begin at 12 noon. Speakers include HCC President Dr. Guy Altieri and a student member of the Science Club. Adjunct instructors Jennie Avila and Steve Wright will perform. Avila will sing and play the guitar and Wright will play the ceramic drums.

Hagerstown Community College will host its annual winter student art exhibit from Mon., Dec. 13 through Thurs., Dec. 16, in the Career Programs Building on HCC’s main campus.

The winter student art exhibit will feature more than 50 students exhibiting a host of artwork including painting, drawing, mixed media sculpture, ceramic sculpture, pottery, digital photography, and graphic design prints. To be eligible to enter the show, students must be currently enrolled in one of HCC’s art courses, and must also have a coherent body of work to present.

Free Showing of Helvetica Film

On Thurs., Sept. 23, there will be a free showing of "Helvetica," an independent film about typography, graphic design, and global visual culture.
