A job recruiter from Baltimore Life will be on campus from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Thurs., Oct. 29 to accept applications from students for sales agents. The recruiter will be stationed at the Valley Eatery in the upper level of the Career Programs Building.

In support of the Breast Cancer Awareness Step 'N Stride, the HCC Service Club is selling tribute flags at the Valley Eatery in the Career Programs Building from Oct. 19 through Oct. 22. Cost is $10 each.

The Association of Nursing Students is holding a fundraiser to raise money for their club. Beginning Tues., Oct. 6, students will be selling 2010 Bonus Books from the nursing office in the Career Programs Building, CPB-110A (lower level).

"Bonus Books" are coupon books that contain discounted coupons for local area restaurants, stores, sporting events, travel destinations, and recreation parks. Although dated for 2010, the books can be used immediately and often offer a 50% savings on almost everything. Cost is $30 each.

National Radiologic Technology Week commemorates the discovery of x-rays by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on November 8, 1895 and celebrates the vital role that radiologic technologists play in the healthcare field.

HCC will hold a press conference on the recently received National Science Foundation (NSF) grant for the Biotechnology Program on Thurs., Aug. 13, at 9:30 a.m., in the Career Programs Building, rooms 211 and 213. New initiatives in the Biotechnology Program, as well as grant monies recently received will be discussed. The public is encouraged to attend.

The public is invited to attend an Earth Day celebration at HCC on Wednesday, April 22, from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m., by the fountain in front of the recently renovated Career Programs Building.
