(May 22, 2005) - For the first time, Hagerstown Community College has begun a collaborative relationship with the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. The two entities hope to combine resources and are making plans for several joint ventures.
Guy Altieri, president of HCC, said, “The county museum and the community college have much in common. In particular, both entities are dedicated to the promotion of the visual arts and the education of the local population to the beauty of art and its place in the development of individuals and the community as a whole. I’m so pleased we are working together to better serve the citizens of our region.”
Beginning this fall, HCC will offer some of its studio art classes at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. These include ceramics, 2-D design, painting and sculpture.
