HCC offers music making classes
Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Wed, 02/01/2006 - 1:00am
Hagerstown Community College Center for Continuing Education is calling all amateur musicians who would like the opportunity to meet other musicians and have some music-making fun.
The New Horizons Strings is an all-string chamber ensemble that meets for lessons on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in HCC’s Kepler Theater.
The New Horizons Band is open to all instruments and meets for group lessons/ensembles on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Paramount Brethren Christ Church. This group also performs at different events throughout the community.
Students need to provide their own instrument and members of the New Horizons Band will need a portable music stand. To learn more, call 301-790-2800, ext. 582.
