Simmers hired for HCC’s truck driving program

Robert Simmers was recently hired as the commercial vehicle transportation specialist at Hagerstown Community College.

In his new position, Simmers is responsible for the daily operations of the CVT Program (truck driver training) and represents HCC as a liaison with the transportation industry.

Simmers most recently worked for the Western Maryland Consortium as a training specialist/case manager. He previously worked as a part-time academic advisor for HCC. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Frostburg State University.
