Battle of the Bulge class offered through HCC
Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Mon, 01/22/2007 - 1:00am
Hagerstown Community College Center for Continuing Education presents a course on the country’s greatest battle of World War II, the Battle of the Bulge. This class, taught by Jeff Driscoll, will be held on Thursdays beginning March 1 through March 22 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the HCC Valley Mall Center.
Driscoll will discuss the background of the war, the German preparation for the enormous Bulge attack and America’s failure to detect the preparation, the efforts of U.S. soldiers to hold back Hitler’s military machine, the eventual counter-attack that forced the Germans to give up all that they had gained, and how U.S. soldiers proved they were as good as any in the world.
Cost is $65. Senior adult fee is $40. Class size is limited to 20, so please register early by calling 301-790-2800, ext. 236.
