College for Kids offers popular fiction-themed courses

Hagerstown Community College’s College for Kids summer program for grade school students is offering kids with a passion for reading the chance to explore their favorites during week-long classes held on the main campus of HCC.
     
Kids going into first grade can go on “A Journey with Mother Goose” July 23 through 27 or July 30 through August 8. A trip to “The Land of Seussville!” is also planned for first graders from July 9 through 13.
     
Kids going into grades two and three can embark on “The Great Reading Adventure!” from July 2 through July 6.
     
Book lovers going into grades four and five have a variety of classes to choose from. “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” meets June 25 through 29 or July 9 through 13. “Charlotte’s Web” meets July 9 through 13. “The World of Harry Potter” meets July 16 through 20. “Because of Winn Dixie” meets July 23 through 27. “A Series of Unfortunate Events” meets July 30 through August 3.
