HCC offers annual College for Kids summer program

Hagerstown Community College once again offers its annual College for Kids summer program on the campus of HCC.
HCC’s College for Kids has been in existence since 1987 and now offers over 70 different courses to more than 700 students. Classes are taught by highly qualified teachers in a small class setting with an emphasis on hands-on, interactive learning experiences specially geared towards children going into grades one through ten. Course subjects range from Amazon Adventure, Art Mania, Designing Your Own Computer Game, and Fashion Sewing to Nursing Academy, Lego My Robot, I Spy…, Photography, Step Into the Spotlight, and many others.
A host of brand new programs have also been added this year including Blast Off Into Space!, Reading Frenzy!, Native American Nation, Mystery! Science! Adventure!, Civil War History, and Audio Masters—Sound Effects and Music Editing, among others.
Classes start June 23 and will continue through the week of August 4. Students meet Monday through Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individual course costs will vary according to section and materials needed. For more information or to register, call 301-790-2800, ext. 236 or go to
