Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Wed, 05/28/2008 - 12:00am
Nine local high school students were awarded the Hagerstown Community College Faculty Foundation Scholarship for Academic Excellence for the 2008-2010 academic years. The Faculty Foundation Scholarship for Academic Excellence is a tuition scholarship that is available to a student who has a 3.2 or greater grade point average in each of the seven county high schools and one other high school in the tri-state area, including private and parochial schools.
This year’s recipients included: Tiffany Root, of Boonsboro High School; Elisa Mills, of Clear Spring High School; Heather Layton, of Hancock High School; Tyler Fairley, of North Hagerstown High School; Kasie Stotler, of Smithsburg High School; Kimberly Adams, of South Hagerstown High School; Carla Flessner, of Washington County Technical High School; Britta Troxell, of Williamsport High School; and Seth Eby, of Chambersburg (Pa.) High School.
All recipients were selected by a joint committee of HCC faculty and members of the HCC Foundation.
