Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Mon, 08/04/2008 - 12:00am
The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Cruisers as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Concert Series, on Sun., Aug. 17, at 4 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.
The U.S. Navy Cruisers is a seven-member contemporary music ensemble under the leadership of vocalist Senior Chief Musician John L. Fisher. The Cruisers take their name from the Navy's versatile, multi-mission ship, the Cruiser, and perform a variety of music including classic rock, rhythm and blues, oldies from the 50s and 60s, Motown favorites, as well as today's top 40 hits.
Co-sponsored by the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, this concert is free and is open to the public. For more information, contact HCC Alumni Coordinator Lisa Stewart at 301-790-2800, ext. 346. To learn more about the U.S. Navy Cruisers, go to www.navyband.navy.mil/cruisers.shtml.
