Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Mon, 11/03/2008 - 1:00am
Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education is offering a seminar for radiographers entitled, "Pediatric Orthopaedics: How far we have come in the last fifty years," on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Robinwood Medical Center.
Discussion topics include advances that have been made in orthopaedics in the last fifty years, as well as how spinal deformities and joint replacement are diagnosed and treated and the role that imaging plays in those diagnoses. J. Michael Wattenbarger, MD, will host the seminar. Wattenbarger is a practicing pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at the Ortho/Carolina/Miller Orthopaedic Clinic in Charlotte, NC and is also the subspecialty chief at the Department of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the Carolinas Medical Center.
Cost is $12. Fee includes continuing education credit for radiographers, handouts, and refreshments. Washington County Health Systems employees may attend for $5. Participants are encouraged to register in advance. For more information or to register, call 301-790-2800, ext. 236.
