HCC offers seminar on trauma care
Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education will offer a seminar entitled, “Trauma Care: Multiple Aspects,” on Thursday, April 2, in The Merle S. Elliott Continuing Education and Conference Center, located in the Career Programs Building on HCC’s main campus.
The seminar begins at 8 a.m. and will last until 4 p.m. Discussion topics include interventional radiology, pediatric trauma, legal and ethical issues, snake bites, and ocular trauma. Professional continuing education credits are available for physicians, social workers, psychologists, counselors, therapists, radiographers, and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel. For EMS, application will be made to the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS).
Cost is $75. Washington County Health Systems staff may take the seminar for $59. Seminar fee includes a continental breakfast, continuing education credits, handout materials, and a certificate of attendance.
